Arata Isozaki

Snow museum in Kaga city, 40km down from Kanazawa ( related page ) is designed by Arata Isozaki. It was built in a lake side park, and is hard to see the exterior of the building because of gigantic trees around it. Only distinctive part of the architecture we can identify from the distance is its hexagonal towers which are probably intended to imply the shape of snow.

The wing of the facility extends toward the lake and it is only the opening. View from there was breathtaking.
