japanese garden

Simple and modern garden below was designed by architect Togo Murano half a century before, together with around cottages in a luxury hotel in Kyoto.

One of a significant character of Japanese culture is gradation, neither abrupt change nor clear boundary. Inside or outside is vague and hard to define its borderline. I guess that is what we Japanese learned from nature.
