Kengo Kuma

Kagura-zaka is a quiet town where many traditional Japanese restaurants are gathered, and is also known as a town of publishing firms.

The picture below is a renovated warehouse which was recently transformed to shops and cafe. This was designed by Kengo Kuma who became very famous as a winner of the design contest of Tokyo Olympic stadium. ( related page is here )


And his portrait was illustrated on a paper bag of the shop. Funny, isn't it?
