temporarily permanent

I went to Toyama this summer where is located one hour drive from Kanazawa, and visited a newly built museum in the center of the city. You can tell it was by Kengo Kuma from a distance for its characteristic facade.


It has a composition of plates as in his many other works, but this time it was a combination of several materials such as glass, metal and granite, not lumbers for its fasade.


Inside of the building was spectacular, spacious shaft went through 6 floors slanted and has made comfortable atomosphere. Wooden boards are used which shows Kuma's style, although I feel it is like a temorary installation. ( related page is here )
