Not just a miniature model of Japanese traditional architecture, but this is an art work by Takahiro Iwasaki. The wooden model is made duplicated and built mirroerd below as if it were a reflected image on the water surface. I've known his works for long time, but never seen such a big one. It must require a lot of effort to build this. Just amazing. ( related page is here )

You will also notice the work is representation of the destroyed shrine when you take a close look at the detail. Actually, he mentioned the work is inspired by the scene from Itsuku-shima shrine seriously damaged by Typhoon in 2004.
